Once the ice starts forming and you see the pellets drop into the ice bucket, the N01 continues making small amounts of ice every 5 minutes till the ice bin is full. On a continuous run of 24 hours, the N01 makes up to 25 kgs of ice. So, in an hour you can get approximately 900 gms of ice.

Yes, Kilig N01 is 100% portable. It’s compact, requires no installation or water inlet. As long as you have access to a power source and are protected from direct exposure to the elements, you can use the H01 anywhere. You must, however, ensure that you let the ice maker rest for at least three hours before use so the refrigerant has enough time to settle before you start making ice.


Q: What is the lifespan of my Kilig ice maker?

A: The lifespan of a Kilig ice maker can vary depending on factors such as usage and maintenance. On average, a well-maintained Kilig ice maker can last for several years.

Q: How long can the ice stay in the machine before melting?

The Kilig N01 does not keep ice frozen but it keeps making continuous batches of ice after 15 minutes. Once the machine starts making ice, it can hold it in frozen shape for a limited time only. For best results, we recommend you keep transferring the ice to a freezer at short intervals, or serve directly from the machine while the ice is fresh. 


Q: Does the Kilig N01 shut off when full. Or does it continue to make ice?

A: Smart sensors detect when the ice basket is full or if the water level in the reservoir is running low, and stops making ice. You will be alerted of the same on the display panel of the machine. Remove the ice and store in a freezer. If you do not remove the ice, it melts back into the reservoir and is recycled into making the next batch of ice. 

Q: Can I open the cover to get ice while still making ice?

A: Yes, you can take ice from the ice basket. Meanwhile, the machine will continue making ice. However, for best results, we advise you remove the ice basket once sufficiently full and transfer the ice directly to beverages or to a freezer. 

Q: What happens to the water if the ice melts? 

A: The melted ice water goes back into the water reservoir and goes into making the next batch of ice.

Q: Can you stop the ice production midstream?

A: You can turn it off at any point. It just stops where it is and the ice it was making melts and runs back into the reserve.

Q: If the ice tray is full, will it stop producing ice until the ice is used?

A: Yes, the ice maker will stop making ice when full. It will not start up again until you open it and take ice out.

Q: Can I run the Kilig N01 ice maker continuously?

A: Yes, you can leave the Kilig N01 continuously without worry. A state of the art condenser fan keeps the machine cooling effectively, while operating noise-free. Kilig N01 is also highly energy-efficient. Running the Kilig N01 consumes the same amount of energy as running a 100 Watt bulb. Only keep an eye out for smart indicators to prompt you if the ice basket is full or if the water level in the reservoir is low. This is when the ice maker pauses the ice making process. 

Q: Do I have to unplug the machine when not in use?

A: You can leave the machine plugged in without any issues. Only remember to drain the excess water and power off the machine after every use. 

Q: How do I clean the Kilig N01 ice maker?

A: Cleaning the N01 is a breeze. You can activate the N01’s inbuilt self-clean mode at just the touch of the CLEAN button. The cleaning cycle takes about 30 minutes. Once you’re done, drain the waste water from the outlet at the backside of the machine and wipe down the inside of the machine with a soft cloth. For regular cleaning, do this at least once a week. 

For a deeper clean, follow these steps. First, empty out any remaining ice and empty the water reservoir by pulling the drain plug located at the base of the machine. Next, use a cleaner and descaler solution to wipe the interior surfaces of the machine. Q: How do I drain the remaining water from the Kilig N01?

A: The Kilig N01 has a drain plug, or a drain valve, located at the backside of the unit. To drain the water, simply remove the plug or open the valve and allow the water to flow out into a bucket. Refer to the user manual for specific instructions.

Q: The N01 has started making smaller ice than none at all, what could be causing this?

A: Unplug the unit and clean it. If the unit does not make ice after cleaning, the unit may require service.
